iMergeFiles ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website www.imergefiles.online, a free online tool for merging PDF, CSV, JSON, Markdown, and text files. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.

2. How our file processing works

All file merging on iMergeFiles happens entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. When you drop or select files:

• Your files are read using the browser's built-in FileReader API
• Processing (merging, combining, converting) is performed locally in your browser's memory
• The resulting merged file is generated locally and downloaded directly to your device
• No file contents are transmitted to iMergeFiles servers at any point

The only exception is the AI Smart Merge tool, which sends file contents to Anthropic's Claude API to perform intelligent merging. If you use this feature, your file contents are transmitted to Anthropic's servers and are subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. We recommend using AI Smart Merge only with non-sensitive files.

iMergeFiles itself does not set any cookies. However, third-party services embedded in our site may set cookies on your device:

Google AdSense cookies

We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other sites. These cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to iMergeFiles and other sites on the internet.
